Boggy Brook Outfitters guides a limited number of people so each trip keeps individual attention. The legacy site puts it plainly: larger outfitters can lose the personal feeling, while Boggy Brook keeps the hunt focused on the guest.
The operation is family-owned, traditional in its approach, and willing to use new ideas where they improve success rates. Hunting and fishing are presented as family memories made in the Maine outdoors.
Guided programs
The hunt pages point to the same operating style: prepare early, keep groups small, use known land, and make the terms clear before the trip starts.

Bait sites are prepared months ahead on multiple properties. Shots are typically within 20 to 100 yards from metal ladder stands, and bowhunters are welcome.

Hunts focus on active food plots, well-traveled trails, shooting houses, ground blinds, and maintained trail cameras across gated hunting land.

Boggy Brook supplies blinds, calls, decoys, and other field gear. Spring hunts leave the lodge at 4:00 AM and aim to be hunting by 5:00 AM.

For hunters who draw a Maine moose permit, Jesse scouts the selected WMD, gains land access where possible, and guides the assigned hunt week.
Lodging options
Guests can stay at the main lodge in a quiet cove on Branch Lake in Ellsworth, or use the rustic camp where the trip calls for it.

Fantastic people. I have honestly never been on a guided hunt with nicer people and will literally do everything in their power to get you an animal.
